International data roaming

When I'm at work I get a popup for international data roaming. I don't think im outside the country. My work is in Waukesha Wisconsin which is just west of Milwaukee.

This popup is rather annoying especially if im using the phone.

Does anyone else have this issue? Should I get a replacement phone? Will this be fixed in gingerbread?

Id call and ask Verizon.

Your phone might just be telling you there is no CDMA signal. Mine does this in parking garages...

Yes I have just discovered this bug on my DX2 as I was traveling within Kentucky. Quite annoying as the warning continues to pop up even after I dismiss it. Not a terrible thing unless the glitch actually prompts Verizon to charge me international data rates. Would appreciate a fix though as it seems this problem has apparently vexed Motorola Droid phones for some time now.

I've determined this happens everytime I go into normal data roaming. At work I get a bad signal so it goes in and out of roaming which re-triggers the warning message. This is really annoying.

Verizon knows nothing of this like usual. They sent me a new phone which still has the same issue.

Wow, ATR, what a coincidence. I just got the Droid X2, and googled "Droid X2 data roaming" and got this thread. I also live in Waukesha, WI. I live right off Highway TT, and I'm in my apartment complex, and constantly get this message. I've gotten fed up with it, so I actually just turned the data roaming on. I don't think you incur extra charges, considering I had my DX1 always set to data roaming and never saw an extra cent on the bill, but definitely helps not getting those messages. Crazy that we live in the same small town! haha.

I had this on my Droid X running on Froyo and then Gingerbread. I'm having same issue on Droid X2 Froyo right now. Hopefully is been fixed with the new Gingerbread for Droid X2...trying to install right now... This is been discussed on Motorola forums last year, being an issue with other Motorola devices. Apparently is not a Google but MotoBlur "feature"... So far, i don't think there is a solution for it. The problem is that if the phone is on sleep mode, this message will come on, awake your device, and keep it that way, draining your battery. Unless you click "yes" or "no", that message will stay on your screen till the battery is completely drained.
