Hey guys, you know how the iphone has ping and the blackberry has bmm, does andriod have anything like them to, if not does anyone know when one of them will be coming out?

Is that the only one, is it close to ping and bmm in terms of how good it is? Googletalk is instant btw right?

Talk uses data just like ping and bbm. It is mostly instant.

There are also several multiple IM clients available for Android (eBuddy, Fring, Meebo, Trillian are the ones I can think of off-hand). All use data, though of course, it requires that people be on the respective network.

Never for BMM. A device has to have a BB PIN and access to the BB APN (to access RIM's network) for BMM.

I don't see RIM opening up something that its users have turned into a selling point (given all the BBM inquiries) for the BB either...
