installing apks through gmail

For those who already knew this and going DUHHHH ...well i didnt so ima share.

I was wanting to install the gimpsta custom keyboard I just made for the 0.70 sapphire rom. Well I did not feel like plugging my phone into my laptop and clicking usb connect, yes I know that is just so hard to do lol.

So after I downloaded the file I unzipped it and attached the apk to a gmail that I mailed myself. I opened the mail click install attached file and bam; I got to wait and extra 35 seconds it took to load the file.

Hey If you guys knew this then go ahead bash away about how behind the times I am....:icon_eek:

I personally use dropbox because it is so simple. Download the file to computer, move it to the dropbox folder it usually takes like two seconds for an apk to upload then i open it using the dropbox app on my droid and the second its done downloading it opens the install screen. But email does sound like a viable option.

did not think about drop box.
