Ignorant newb seeks free music & ringtone apps ?

I just got my droid 3 yesterday so I haven't had too much time to explore, but whenever I think I find a free music and/or ringtone app, it won't download or doesn't work. Is that cause the droid 3 is so new so its going to take awhile for updated apps to come out? Any help at all will be appreciated.

I don't have a Droid3 but have you tried Ringdroid?

I used this on my Droid and it's been great. Let's you take any song on your phone and crop it and then use it as a ringtone, notification, or alarm.
