app for music and ringtones

what are some good apps for downloading music and making ringtones? i downloaded music box and for some odd reason no song would ever play.

Ringdroid let's you crop existing mp3 files into ringtones.

So I would have to have the files already on my phone or does ringdroid allow me to download also

I believe it only edits existing files. You could use Music Junk to download free music then Ringdroid to edit them. That's what I usually do.

There are apps that have various tones included too.....Zedge is one to try.

Does ringdroid have to remain open for the ringtones to keep working???? It seems that after a week or so they (the tones I made with ringdroid) quit working? (non-rooted droid X 2.2)
