ICS this week?

Can anyone confirm that the GSM international roaming feature in the .211 release works outside of the US for Verizon RAZR? There are so many countries to which I travel which do not support CDMA.

It definitely will work if you get the verizon international rates, which are costly. My big question, which I have yet to get a direct answer from Moto or Verizon, is will I be able to use a foreign prepaid sim in the Razr. My belief is that you can but neither Verizon or Moto is going to be willing to admit that.

edit: had to go back and fix my auto correct typo. hong = going. What in the world is "hong" anyway?

Hong is Kong's first name.

I have to say, just hold your horses. I was freaking out about getting it so much that I eventually grabbed the leak. And after twenty or so minutes of leaping around like a school girl after her first kiss I came to the realization that its Android. A few things have changed but its still the same O/S.

I found this interested...

"Rodmen Hill ‏@Rodmenhill
@VZWSupport is there a rhyme or reason on who gets it first and who has to wait 3 weeks? #notbitter #tryingtobepatient

VZW Support VZW Support ‏@VZWSupport
@Rodmenhill It is released in batches by ESN number. No info on who gets it first. We certainly appreciate your patience. ^LA"

Now if we could get the non-soakers that received them to post their ESN numbers!

That really means nothing. They could simply have a coded routine that hits specific ESN's and then removes those for later wide release.

Ics?????

So my question is why does verizon tell people its rolling out the 22nd. If the actual update is not coming until a later date, because there is a soak test. Which I am glad for to make sure its ready with no bugs. After testing then give a real release date. Especially after all the false positives that have been issued. I am patiently waiting.

The initial reports were 22nd soak, 27th general release.

I am not sure Verizon ever announced a date, just that the update was on its way.

I dont think an "official date" was ever annouced by Verizon or Motorola. They maintained it would be released 2 quarter. It was always someone who knew someone who knew someone that worked somewhere and that person knew someone who worked somewhere else and he had a friend that had a friend who had a cousin that created ICS and told someone who blogs on a website that gave a "date" as an inside scoop just to gain some traffic on their site. Hope that makes sense.
