I posted yesterday morning I had it when I woke up... I read my email and got a notice I was in the software test from Motorola so this IS the soak and I'm in fact testing.

That makes perfect sense, explains why updated seemed to have stopped rolling out early yesterday

Just used the droid razr 1.7 utility and i'm on official ICS .211 WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111 Got tired of waiting and asked plenty of questions prior to proceeding, and now I'm here! Good luck for anyone else that's waiting on it. Time for me to unsubscribe here, lol.

You are going to enjoy it! If you are not in a 4G area I have read that switching to the global option sets the phone for 3G as they have removed the sole "3G only" option from the menu

Me too. I had finally convinced myself to just go ahead and use Matt's utility and take the plunge, so I went back to the installation thread and noticed the original post had been "altered".

Several new comments were added, like this one:
IF YOU BRICK, DON'T PANIC, DON'T GIVE UP, DON'T CALL VERIZON TO SEND YOU A NEW PHONE...

and this one:
If you happen to brick, which there's a 50/50 chance you will...

Hmmmm...

I'm not trying to take the above statements out of context, but those in particular caught my attention. :blink:

Haha. Yeah man me too. I was just like screw it, I'd rather take my chances today than wait another 2-3. I'm usually impatient though. Thankfully I asked all the questions I did.. It cleared a bunch of things up before I updated.

I'm no expert by any means but from what I read on here I don't think you can get any OTA updates if you are rooted.

Use Voodoo Rootkeeper to temp unroot and then re-root using the same tool once update is applied. It works.
