ICS this week?

I have noticed the drop in bars that people have mentioned, but there didn't seem to be slower load times. I actually find it so far to be a more accurate indication of actual reception. Also my phone hasn't dropped data once since the update usually out does once in a while at my house

I got the notification yesterday evening and when i woke up, my phone had already downloaded the update. Unfortunately the first attempt to install it didn't work, so i downloaded it again reinstalled and it still failed. Anyone had similar problem or got any ideas?

Are you rooted?

What kind of notification will we get before update? The only one I got was from Verizon about ICS not having the IM app.

It just shows up in the notification bar. It Basically says you will be updated within a week, and some other stuff. I think people posted pictures of in earlier in the thread. Might be hard to find now though

I have Super User installed but when I ran OTA rootkeeper to remove SU, it told me I was not rooted.

Do you have safestrap or bootstrap on there still? Actually from what I understand if you installed either of those previously and then just removed them it still isn't completely gone from the system. You have to go in to your root directory and delete files it leaves behind. I could be mistaken but that's what I remember.

I uninstalled safestrap, but I'll check the files and see if anything is still there. I never got SU to uninstall because it was denying access to OTA rootkeeper. I'm on my 4th attempt at downloading and installing the new update. I get about half way through and then the phone restarts. Once its rebooted I get the notification that the install has failed.

Yeah it sounds like you have some "leftovers" from root. I'm worried about this happening myself but I never installed either safestrap or bootstrap. In any case, you can always use the Droid Razr Utility from Mattlgroff to go back to .181 stock. That way you'll be sure you can do the update. I wouldn't waste any more time trying to update because it's definitely not going to work.

I've been trying to download that utility for the last 3 days. Maybe I'll finally be able to get it with the official rollout starting to take place. Thanks.
