how to put the widget on the screen. I see other widgets I can put on but not notes,, on Samsung or Android widgets

You may not have a note widget. You could add one like StickM Notes or Color Notes. Both are widgets that let you put a "Post It" style note on your screen.

I use gtasks which has reminders for dates and times. Works great for payments of course I have it in code words so PPL don't look at my phone and know I have dues.

Colornote is pretty good, and free.

The note can be a text note, or a checklist, and you have separate widgets for each note. I keep a note labelled Stuff in case I have to jot something down real quick.
