i fear i have bricked my droid 2.....now what?

i think i have bricked my droid 2 while trying to upgrade to a leaked version of gingerbread. i cant get out of recovery and everytime i try a hard factory reset it wont let me past the "m" logo. i know there is a way to un-brick a phone as i payed 60 dollars to have this done on the same phone last time. i just dont have the 60 bucks to do it again. can someone explain to me how to do this? do i need to sbf back to 2.2 and if so how do i do it? thank you
