The list of OnePlus 5 bugs just keeps growing and growing. Of course you could chalk all these up to early adopter syndrome, but we are nearing a month since the release of this device. You would hope to see many bugs fixed by now instead new bugs seem continue to appear often. The latest of these bugs is potentially life threatening. Some users are reporting that when they dial 911 the phone automatically reboots. The bug could be related to enhanced 911 services pinging your phone's GPS. This apparently is also happening in the UK when users dial 999.

OnePlus had this to say regarding the issue, "We have contacted the customer and are currently looking into the issue. We ask anyone experiencing a similar situation to contact us at [email protected]". You should not test this without first calling your local non-emergency number to set up a test 911 call.

This was a serious contention for my next phone, I'm glad it's not compatible with Verizon otherwise I'd be putting up with this mess.
