Verizon told me update, which I do not have yet, comes from HTC.

What does removing SIM card do?

Some people said turning the phone off removing the sim and re inserting it then searching for the update helps I havnt had the problem.. or u can call HTC support at 866-449-8358..

Thanks for the SIM card suggestion. Sadly, it didn't work. I will be calling HTC.

If u have another 4 g device put ur SIM in it power it up and then remove it and put it back in ur thunderbolt that should get u the ota update ....let me know how that works

Maybe a friend ur family member someone with a 4 g device or go to the vzw store

For all you that are not rooted. Since June I've waited to get the gb update check my phone everyday, check any website that might give me any hope, but tht never came... I finally rooted my tbolt and been really happy I'm running 2.3.5 with sense 3.5 and if you wait all you are going to wait is for sense 2.1 so root your phone you will be happy you did
