HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

Everything points to the 24th:
-The HTC TB Interactive cloud on VZWs website
-HTCs Shipping Announcement
-The 3 HTC TB commercials
-Miamis info
-TB Dummy phones in VZW stores

This phone is almost ready, they just need to get the shipments in and boom, on the website and in stores on the 24th as of right now:)
I gurantee we will probably see a confirmed release date from either VZW or HTC within this week:)

Let the Thunder roll,
and see it take its toll,
On the fruit of yesterday,
Androids taking over TODAY!!!!

What exactly has Miami said? Based on exchanges on both his and BMX's Twitter feeds, It sounds to me like neiter of them are too confident that it will be released this month.
 
If there is any truth to the rumor that VZW is releasing the T-Bolt outside of the initial iPhone release return window then it makes sense that they haven't announced an official release date. The 24th is day 14 of the initial iPhone release and the last day to return the device. If VZW were to announce a date prior to the end of the 14 day return period first day purchasers could return the iPhone and wait a few days for the T-Bolt release.

Based on my mindless speculation I would put the release between the 25th and 28th.

Just my $.02 in case any of you feel this thread is lacking in speculation. :D

The 24th is the 15th day after the 10th.

10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24

Do they include the date of sale into that window. I would think window starts the day after the sale.

Right. Sale date is date zero. The 11th is one day later.

Miami has told me point blank that the release of the TB will be Thursday the 24th unless Verizon pulls a last minute delay. His sources all are still saying the 24th (as of late last night). So I am going with it. He has been dead on before and I believe him now.
 
i just hope it's this week... OG Droid starting to lag a lot more than it did initially...

Mine as well. I am thinking battery. Especially with OCing the thing to no end. It tends to feel snappier with a full battery or plugged in. The battery stats are screwy as well. I will have 70% and in 30 minutes of use it will drop to 30% then 20% in like minutes. I am really looking forward to having a phone with the snappiness without having to OC it to achieve it.

I think Miami just scours the Google and reports back with rumours he's read elsewhere... remember the Merge??? I mean the HTC Evo Shift...

Now, weeks after a few of us (ME included!!) used logic and determined the 24th as the release date, he comes in and repeats what we've been saying all along... great job staying on top of things....

All I am going to say is believe what or who you want. In all the times he has released information from Verizon to us before (update releases etc) he has been correct. He has valid sources and does not just scour the internet for info then post it here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and their beliefs. I, for one, am going to believe him and trust his word. Remembering also that Verizon can and will do whatever they want and could very well pull another delay at the last minute. But as of now, its on for the 24th.
 
I can't wait to get my hands on a 4g phone, as LTE just went live last thursday in the Detroit Metro area. I dropped by my local VZW store to check out the speed of the network from a usb modem and damn is it ever fast, 32Mbps down 8Mbps up with a ping under 100. The only thing now is to pick my phone I have been following the thunderbolt since last October when it was called the Droid IncHD. We are still waiting for 4g phone data plans and then everything should be golden. Here's to the hopes that they keep the unlimited data plan.

Come on 24th I want a 4g phone.

Can't wait for this phone. Even though I won't have 4G coverage on launch day (apparently Milwaukee isn't a major city ;)) I'll definitely have it no matter where I go to college next year so I'm excited as heck for this thing. Like others said, my OG Droid is starting to get annoying.

I'm in Milwaukee as well. Fortunately we were on the second list of the supposed cities getting coverage by the first half of 2011. 4G pricing will really decide if I go for it though. If they have a temporary promo where unlimited 4g is the same price, I will upgrade just to lock that in for 2 years. Otherwise I can wait.
