im curious. how do we KNOW that it means just other 3rd party retailers and not verizon stores? is that CONFIRMED? {really hope you are right}

I don't know of any link to show you, but just use common sense. Do you really think Verizon is not going to carry their first flagship LTE phone at their stores and online? No way, that would make absolutely no sense from a business standpoint. Go look at their webpage for LTE. Do you think when the device comes out it is going to say, "Sorry, but you can only get this device at Best Buy when it is released, not at our stores?" Come on.

I think VZW has put off an announcement as long as it could because of the iPhone (they wanted as many sales as possible before the masses found out about the better phone), but now that it is old news I expect official word on the TB to be forthcoming soon. They can't hide from it anymore with all the ads all over the place appearing today. Maybe tomorrow during the joint Skype-VZW presentation at MCW in Barcelona? I guarantee they will be showing off the TBolt during that.

That joint Skype/Verizon presentation was posted in error by someone previously. It was actually from last year. Tomorrow is HTC's day, but I think the release is out of their hands at this point. Please correct me if I am wrong about the verizon/skype thing, but I can show you links to where they admitted it was last years announcement if needed.

CNN has a HUGE Thunderbolt ad on their home page at the top - you drag over it (if you use Chrome turn off ad-blocker if installed) - - - that's legit to me, means they cant delay much longer since they are advertising on one of the world's most visited sites.

Yeah, exactly. I wouldn't even mind that too much because I just want a hard release date at this point. The anticipation is what's really killing me.
