HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

I called 611 last night like you did and the rep I got didn't have any information on the ThunderBolt. Still leaning towards a 17th or 24th launch with an announcement coming early this week.

When I called in she didn't have anything in front of her and had to go and check....she was gone for awhile then came back on the line telling me how great the phone was going to be I had to ask again but she did confirm that today was going to be the release.
I did just try to call again, but they are not open until 6am.
I need to figure out if I am going to be sick today and have to miss work.

I do know that as of Saturday the accessories for the Thunderbolt were in the Verizon store.`

so a rep confirmed the release for today as of last night? 611 lied to me. :[ 3 times.

If the phone were to be released today, "Coming Soon" for the ThunderBolt would have changed at either 3am EST or 7am EST. It's now 7:58am EST.

I hate to make a generalization but...by and large I rarely trust the rep who is working the weekend off shift as being in the know.

I did call again this morning and she said that there is not a date for release yet. Then she went to a support place and they said that it does not have a release date. So I can only assume that last night Amanda flat out lied to me.

I'm one of the people in that thread at AC. I have to tell you, this is getting frustrating. My local VZW opens at 8, and they said they were told they would be getting them today, but they never showed. The way this launch is being handled is a complete and utter failure.
