They didn't sell out. They just got overwhelmed with pre-orders and stopped taking them on the first morning. So much so, in fact, that it crashed the Verizon site apparently.

The iPhone is great for a lot of people. It's simple to use, it's heavily marketed and people think it "looks pretty." It also has extensive app support, including plenty of virtual farting. It also makes a ton of money, can be easily sold to people who don't even have any use for a smartphone and doesn't even need marketing considering the media hype that surrounds it.
It's refreshing to not be like that
Some times people just want the 'new' I know my mom was looking into the iphone (she has the incredible now) she looked up my phone and did more research and heard the iphone will lag due to the heavily sold units and the missing components that this one will have. lol. She tries to to tell everyone she knows not to buy the iphone.
It's great knowing about technology working in denver. Granted I work in a different technology area, but I still like to know what I'm buying....
I'm kicking myself for not doing it when I switched over to verizon before. Stupid storm... egh...
Not exactly shocking from a business stand point but extremely disappointing. I can't believe that I have to wait EVEN longer to replace this stupid EnV.

Not sure how late up to the release you can pre order it by, but the rep at bb told me tonight that if I make a pre order it will be good until a couple days after the phone comes out (whether that be the 14th, 24th, etc.).

Oh, yeah...it is a touch...worst touch screen I've ever used. It turns off when I put it in my pocket and sometimes when I close it too quickly. Seriously having this phone is almost more torturous than not even having a phone. I've been checking off days on my calender...gonna have to check a few more I guess.

I had both of those too. Painful.
I saw a screen shot a couple days ago from a Best Buy computer that said pre-order at BB for the TB goes until 2/23.

I did an online chat last night and tonight with Verizon - both times... "we have no information on that device at this time..." or something like that.
I can't imagine that the reps have the info... are allowed to give it out... but Verizon isn't making it official.
Also... for the phones to be there Monday morning... they would need to be shipping now to get to the stores in time. In other words Verizon would know if the 14th was the date and would be able to announce it now.

I had this posted here first and I can tell you that VZW said on Sunday that the 14th was back on.
Now I will follow up on this device tomorrow since I just returned home after a 5 day road trip for work but If it pushes to the 28th (or so) it is simply because they don't want a higher return rate on the IPhone. If they roll it on the 14th it's because they have obligations (so to speak) to meet.

For now I plan on acting absolutely sure that it's the 24th so that if it is somehow the 14th I will be happily surprised.
