Can't edit my post, but just wanted to add that only 5 people have pre ordered the TB at my local Best Buy which is pretty surprsing in a highly populated, 4G area.

I can't believe some of you still think this phone is showing up at Best Buy on Monday. When your pre-order expires on the 16th, you'll have traded in $50 for a gift card.

Here's my prediction: March.

You can call me Nostradamus on February 28 when the phone still hasn't been released.

And when/if you are wrong what do we call you?

As rumors go, I have to call that a longshot. But I wondered if there would be some sort of promotion to pump up those LTE subscription numbers.

Good way to generate buzz and doesn't technically cost VZW anything. Would also be an nice trade-off if they cap at, say, 5gigs and allow free tethering.

They'll have boatloads of capacity on LTE, I think, for a while. Who knows what they'll do, but they could give you unlimited everything for 2 years if you sign-up in time for the promotion.

And, hmmm, even more interesting when you think about the recent mumbling about VZW throttling, because who's going to be the highest data hogs here with free unlimited LTE tethering?

Anything you want - I could be wrong. But that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

What's funny is that I said this a few days back! Free access point like the Palm's when Droid's came out.

I dont give a rats *** about skype. I pre-ordered it so that I would have a new phone the 14th. I am really pissed about this.

Maybe somebody else does. If they ship it with all the features not working, you know others are going to complain and moan all over the boards.

Verizon has said every time when asked, the phone will be release for sale in Q1, that gives them until March 31. If and only if they do not hit their announced target date should they be expected to give any explanation. As far as Verizon is concerned they are going to meet their stated target date.

FWIW, I was at the BB in Downer's Grove IL on Monday and I was told they were expecting the phones on the 17th and there were 4 who had pre-ordered. Since BB won't honor the early new every 2 date that the VZW store has offered me, I cannot take advantage of it.

I honestly cannot believe how worked up people are getting over a cell phone. "verizon owes us an explanation", no actually they don't.

It will be released when it is released, and I fully expect them to hit their announced target date.

Of course now that I have seen the specs of the D3, I'm up in the air yet again.
