Hmm, "Exclusive" news merged (buried) into another thread with 1000+ replies. Sounds like the admins here aren't to confident about these claims anymore either...

it has nothing to do with that. the threads were merged at my request, because it seems that, regardless of the initial topics of the threads, they started taking on parallel tracks, and there appeared to be some cross posting. now we have one thread to discuss the release date. it's just simpler and cleaner - nothing more than that.

So understanding the merge of the threads, but where is this breaking news that was promised to us to explain all the confusion and show the new date? It is well in to the day, and yeah I have a real job too, but knowing the kind of attention this device has been getting was expecting something to be shown.. Usually I know Miami is more on here later in the day, but with this on the back end of all the other stuff that has happened it really makes us wonder.

I'm kinda new around here, can the mod who removed the link in the quoted post clue me in on why the link was removed? I wasn't trying to drive traffic to a different site or anything, just making a joke.

in all honesty, i didn't think thru any implications or innuendo that could be taken from merging the threads. i haven't spoken to miami. and, for anyone who is familiar with me, this should come as no surprise: i have no inside info, and i have no contacts/ninjas/insiders/informants/etc in VZW, HTC, Best Buy, Moto, or any other entity.

it simply came down to this: one thread was talking about a release date of 2/14; one thread was started with info that this date may be pushed back; and since then, both threads have largely been talking about the same thing. and, for reasons not apparent or easily understood by me, emotions have run a little high in both threads. my request to have the threads merged should not be seen as any indication as to what the Admins may or may not believe - i did not consult with them when i asked the threads to be merged.

i just thought that it would be simpler and cleaner to have one thread talking about the release of the TB, whatever date it might be. maybe i was wrong...

hey ya know what's funny, we're all gathered here debating and discussing... Phones. That's it, if this were in a foreign language, people would think we're discussing a strike against Korea or something... Phones. That's all.

Both Verizon and BestBuy will get the Thunderbolt on the 14th, 4G does nothing to your monthly bill, and it's uncapped, and the phone is $249.99 with two year contract, one year contracts do not exist anymore, $629.99 retail.

End of story.

I'm not hating, but we're going back and forth on the release dates, people are asking the same question three or four times, well now it's all right here.
