so why is everyone so sure the 24th is the big day i personally never thought the 14 for one thing its a monday so that should of gave it away right there... ima hope its the 24th but sumn is just telling me the 3rd

Anyone have any comments regarding the innocase II cases? Are they a quality product?

Also, anyone like or dislike the seidio screen protectors?

The Innocase cases are awesome. I have a blue one on my Incredible. It is very attractive, makes the phone easier to hold, protects it better than anything like it while still being pretty light. The Active line of cases has a gel type silicon layer, then a hard shell over it. Never had the Surface case, but I can tell you for sure, Seidio makes quality cases if nothing else.

As for screen protectors, I have read on Amazon that people love them and say they are of the best as far as clarity and protectiveness are concerned. All around, a good brand to go with.

Sorry to toss out more random dates and confuse everyone more but the BB employee I spoke to said BB gets shipments from HTC on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Thus, he said the 18th, 21st, 22nd, and 25th are the only possibilities/when I should call to find out if BB has the Thunderbolt. Weird.

Android Central powers at be got pretty official word on it. BMX said it will be that day. Ads are all over. There is a place for it on Verizon.com now. Pretty much every informed source says so.

can u buy ur phone in a diff state and have ur old number and get it activated for where u live? or do u have to do it in your own state?

i've bought phones from vzw website and shipped to me while in a different state. they seem to tax on the shipping address, not the account location. but i pre-ordered through bb, and CA taxes on retail which totally blows.

When i searched for this online it seemed to be HDMI output only, my poor old CRT will be left out in the cold. :(
gotta move on up, big dog! i got a 40" Sony for around 600. good size, good quality, great sound.

I just bought a 58" samsung plasma its the ****! So big.... can't wait till this phone comes out so I can stream stuff....lol

If Verizon has a retail location in the state they are shipping to, they have to charge that state's sales tax.

Does the TB really have the same screen/worse than the Droid2?

Phonearena.com says they both have TFT screens and the Droid 2's resolution is 480 x 854 pixels while the TB's resolution is 480 x 800 pixels.

Am I mistaken or is the Droid 2 screen better? I know we've heard the TB has a Super LCD screen, but if the Droid 2 doesn't then why isn't this boasted on phone arena? When I compare the two and the fascinate its TFT TFT and Super AMOLED.

not sure if im wrong but the screen on the moto device is a little taller and the one on the tb is slightly wider the 800 is not the res 480 is but then again im not sure but the slcd will look great not sure if the d2 is a slcd... sry if im wrong anyone have anything to add

The 800 is the res too.....
800 pixels tall x 400 wide.

The TB is not really that great. Its an entry level phone that has been gifted with 4g to make it more appealing.

Entry level? unless i am misunderstanding you which is very possible which phone had been released in the US that either has:

A) faster than 1GHZ
B) 2nd gen processor

obviously leading me to ask how this would be entry level.. i will agree its not going to stand tall very long but i cant think of 1 phone better than this one unless your going to base the Nexus S because of gingerbread..

and to clarify i am not talking about phones to be released, just what will be out when it is released.. if you seen the Wirefly schmack down vs the EVO you will know this one puts most phones out today to shame..

imo.. i may be missing some important facts but that is what i recall

So what exactly make this a "entry level phone"? It's not always about the fastest cpu/gpu, highest resolution, etc. It's how well the hardware uses what it's got, the experience as a whole.

Its got lesser specs than the LG Optimus 2x, the Atrix, the Bionic...
Its taking a step down from the DX, other than the 4g.

step down from the DX? LOL in what ways? im interested in your reply..

If Verizon has a retail location in the state they are shipping to, they have to charge that state's sales tax.

I don't mind paying the sales tax here, i just wish it was for the price paid. But in CA, even if i pay 249$ subsidized for the TB i'll be charged tax on the retail price of 749$.

need advice

Okay, this will be my first "smartphone"....currently I have an env2 with the internet feature turned off. Now with that said I have decided over the last month or so that I want a smartphone, I do not want to wait for very long and am willing to pay a premium to get a good one. Which one should I get? I had my mind made up to get the TB but now I am not sure. I like the idea of the hotspot...currently am using the mifi. I have talked to the verizon rep in person and his quote for the hotspot really isn't that appealing. $20 for 2gig. Any thoughts? Sorry for the change of topic but need advice badly. Thanks
