I plan on stopping by tomorrow afternoon and talking to them so I'll post back what I find out. When I pre-ordered the person I talked to said that Wichita should be getting it end of February/March which was a surprise to me, I didn't figure we would get it for awhile. Of course the person could be wrong too. She said at&t was having their 4g or something setup at that time so VZW should too.

Cool, thanks. Wichita is definitely in the second round of the LTE roll-out, which should take place within 1-3 months (if not sooner, I'm not sure when it's actually happening). I'd imagine that the first cities to get ThunderBolts in stock will be the cities that either already have LTE, or the cities that are in the second round of the rollout. That would make sense.

Yes, I did preorder. I didn't ask what number I was, but they did mention that they've been getting a lot of calls about the phone. One guy even went on a rant about what an awesome phone it is...of course I didn't interrupt him

I know, I thought he might give me something, but he wants some cash for the info. Here was my response:
"Thanks, but no thanks. I would not pay more than a few dollars to know the release date. I know it will be within the next 2 weeks, so I'll be patient. I was just seeing if you would help a guy out who has been anxiously awaiting this phone. I'm not sure who you expect to sell a non-functioning dummy phone (no more than a pretty paperweight), a poster, and some worthless documentation to though. Especially asking the ridiculous amount of $300. Good luck, I hope you get a bite from someone."

Were you being sarcastic...implying that you won't have to worry because you cannot do a 1 year iPhone contract and are locked into the device for 20-24 months? Hard to tell. You know nobody in here is even close to considering the toy iPhail, right? We want Does, not iDon't.

The guy was well aware of the Thunderbolt and said he HAD a sell date of the 14th, but that it was delayed, and they had not been told yet when the new date was.
His guess was that they must have had problems with shipping (to which I concluded, they must not have any in the store)
There were Thunderbolt ad's all over the Verizon phone display area.
