HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

One of my friends that also preoreder the gnome said she went into bb last night and they had all the bolt accessories out and set up, so if they aren't getting the phone Monday that would be kind of dumb to set all that up.

OK... so I happened to be out again today and went back to that same BB that tweeted about the release date (Paramus, NJ)...

Waited in line this time (with my 10-year-old and 6-year-old... grr....) and spoke to the Mobile Manager. He told me:

It will be released on 2/24.

I pushed back "I heard 2/14..." he said, "Nope, 2/24."

He did say BB would honor my NE2 discount.

He also indicated that 4G data pricing had not been announced and that their Verizon contact did not know, but they were assuming it would stay the same and that is what they have been telling customers.

I feel like some Best Buys might sell them starting Monday.

Any one remember Call of Duty: Modern Warfare being released a few days early? This reminds me of that, but the ThunderBolt hasn't even been given a date.

Well I just called my local Best Buy and they said supposedly its coming out the 14th so we'll see. I really hope it comes out Monday!

4g Pricing will stay the same as I predicted early within this forum, also most vzw stores will have the phone on the 24th and some as early as the 17th, Some BB stores will get the phone on the 14th and others might not get the phone till the 24th, anytime inbetween the 14th and 24th its free game, lastly id like to point out (as confirmed by other links within this topic) that the phone will see a Febuary release date, the news that confirms this is the skype launch from htc on the market on the 28th which hints that people will have the phone by then.
Just some more news for some of you to gobble up :
A lot of stores already have some TBs in stock and there is a good chance that the VZW stores will not be having a pre order for this phone so I suppose its first come first serve, expect to see some good news tomorrow (mostly "leaks")

The Best kept secret

I am impressed by the secrecy of this launch date. If only our government could keep such well kept secrets. The employees at BB are either very good at manipulation or just plain clueless. I don't know which, just choose one. As for me, I am begining to feel like a junkie waiting for his next fix. I think I will need a 12 step program to get straight again.

For Gods sake, "RELEASE THE PHONES!!"

3 BB's in Wichita Ks are still reporting the 14th as release dates. All of them had heard the rumors of a pushbacks but none had gotten official word and were still planning on the 14th. I hope they're right!

I have 3 BB within 15 miles of me.
I called the closest. They are still taking pre-order. They said originally it was the 14th, now it is pushed back to the 24th. I asked if they had any on hand at the store...and he said as of this minute, no.
Now, I went to my Wireless Zone (who supplies my company with all their VZW phones)

I asked them...
He said it's launching on March 24. I asked him if he were sure it was March 24th not February 24, and he said yes. WZ is one of the 4 largest VZW exclusive retailers and they're all launching on the same date.

I just had to laugh....

I'm calling my 3 local BBs on Monday, to see if anyone has any.
Then I'll be waiting like everyone else...
