IF Best Buy actually does start selling them this Monday (again, a big if), I would think Verizon would have to make an announcement of some kind ("VZW" release date, "official" LTE pricing) early this week.

HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

IF Best Buy actually does start selling them this Monday (again, a big if), I would think Verizon would have to make an announcement of some kind ("VZW" release date, "official" LTE pricing) early this week.
I just went to Best Buy to preorder my Thunderbolt and now they're saying the 24th instead of the 14th. I have a good story though about while I was there. The guy at bb let me play with the inspire because he said it was similar and while I was doing this a lady came behind me and asked what phone it was. I told her and she said she couldn't decide between the iPhone and a "Droid." She has Verizon so I started telling her about the benefits of Android over iOS. Me and the worker from bb pretty much convinced her that Android was the way to go. I even got her interested in getting the Thunderbolt. I feel so proud of myself. The bb employee even took my # if they have any openings for jobs. 
Well sorry for the long story but thought i'd share since it was a win for Android.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but has Verizon ever made a phone announcement over the weekend? I would expect an official announcement either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
I also believe that some Best Buy stores will begin selling ThunderBolts just because they are misinformed or whatever.

the commercial better be sick.
If it doesn't release at Best Buy on monday then hopefully it will release on the 28th. I doubt that it will be at best buy on monday due to the lack of 4g pricing.

What is 4G WiFi?
If you look underneath the Rock Band ad it says
"*Video calls must be made between Verizon 4G LTE devices or 4G WiFi enabled PCs"
Does that mean my I can't Skype with my parents using my ThunderBolt while they're at their home using Verizon Fios internet or what? Is 4G WiFi different than Verizon Fios?

1. It hasn't been officially announced by Verizon. If you look at their 4G LTE website, for the phone it says "Coming Soon."
2. The price you mention is from a leaked Best Buy ad. Verizon hasn't announced a price for the phone (both with a 2 year contract and Full Retail).
3-7. Don't mean anything towards release date.
8. ThunderBolt accessories have been spotted around the country in different Best Buys, however not every single Best Buy has ThunderBolt accessories on display. Also just today the very first Verizon store to have ThunderBolt accessories up was found.
9. The leaked Best Buy ad is an ad that is set to run Sunday, February 20th. It is not an ad that has been released to the general public.
10. I agree with you that it will be released before the 28th. Although there has been no official announcement, most websites/blogs are in agreement it will be the 24th (the 15th day after the iPhone 4 release- 1st day buyers can't return their iPhone 4).

Can someone PLEASE elaborate on this? One of the reasons I wanted this phone was for the ffc so I could Skype with friends so of who have sprint and tmobile. Its no good to me if I can only use verizon to verizon.
