HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

Pre-orders only?

Here's an interesting question. Best Buy has taken Thunderbolt preorders for the past few days. Verizon doesn't want to release the thunderbolt on the 14th because fruit could be returned. But, people who pre-order at BestBuy are obviously not buying the fruit. Also, Verizon would probably like a few test phones out in the field before the big release. What if only those that preordered get the phone on the 14th? Could that happen? Seems like it would be a win-win situation for Verizon. Except for bad press but it's not like they've been doing a good job with avoiding that anyway.

this is exactly what i was thinking. Hope this is their plan.

Just wondering, if I preorder from BestBuy, and I make my purchase there, will I have to change my current plan? I have a data plan already included, and I like the minutes my plan offers currently because it is no longer offered.
