How to watch movies

so I rooted... and copied over a movie without any issues.. do I need to install a player? anything built in? something I should use over anything else (player). I know the droid will play anything - but these movies happen to be .avi files.

If the device doesn't play the file types try Rock Player, I believe it is available for download in the Market
