I have a Motorola droid 2 and it is constantly tell me that I have lost connection, especially in the middle of the night. Is there a way to turn off these alerts. I have to have the phone on all the time and this keeps waking me up. It speaks "Verizone Wireless, lost connection" or something like that. Drives me crazy.

I would think there must be a way to turn off that specific notification...

You might look into Silent Time Lite. It will let you schedule times to turn off your phone's sound automatically. I've put in schedules for when I'm at Work, a regular after-work meeting, and my sleep schedule.

Thank you. Can you specify which sounds turn off and which do not? I need to hear a call coming in.

You can set per-contact exceptions but otherwise the muting is global.

If your main concerns are with a particular notification I'd locate the app/setting that's triggering that notification and address it there.

Have you gone into the sound settings and unchecked Network Lost tone and Roaming tone?

Do this^^^^...no need to download any type app if the actual phone can do what you want...
