How to stop "OTA Update" notifications

So I'm running the Bionic with .901 and Liberty 2.0. I have been on it for the last two weeks. I have been very happy with it, until two days ago when I started getting Verizon notifications that an Update is ready for install.

How do I stop it from popping up? I'm guessing since the phone indicates it is on the .886 version number, the .893 update is correct. I never had this problem with my OG droid on 2.3.7. It wasn't an issue.

I previously triggered this alert by checking for updates out of curiosity. I immediately reverted back to a "Backup" to stop the darn alerts. Now I figure Verizon is actually pushing to send it to me.

Any suggestions?

there should be an "update.apk" or "updater.apk" in /system/app/ rename it to "[whateveritis].BAK" to freeze it. Then boot to recovery and clear cache only.

Also, don't be confused by the marketupdater.apk if there is one.

I think I found it...

Do you mean "upgrade.apk?"

I found that, but not "update.apk," or "updater.apk."

I attempted it, I will see where it gets me.
