How to setup the GNex

Ok, so let me get this right :

1. Get the Gnex, but don't activate it
2. Unlock the bootloader
3. Root it
4. Then activate it and set it up

Right?
Also is there files out there to unroot if necessary?

I don't think we can unlock the bootloader....

The two methods I've seen don't work for me. I suspect foul play.

Unlocking the bootloader is separate of rooting.
