how to on my new droid!!!

I just got my droid and am trying to get a ring tone from my boys phone that he sent me and save it as a ring tone for one of my contacts,he sent it as a text message what do i do now? Thanks rage01.Oh yah this is my first smart phone i am coming from a envy 3 so not a lot of experience.

Did you try long pressing the sound file your friend sent you? And see if that gives you an option to save to the sdcard?
