how to inactivate touch while viewing screen?

I am at the grocery store looking at my shopping list on the screen. I want to inactivate the screen to touch so the list stays there. Anybody know how? If I lock it, it goes dark. If I unlock it I keep inadvertently touching it and activating menus, etc.

hmmm, I am not sure that this can be done but it is a capacitive screen, so you could wear gloves I guess... :icon_eek:
