How to improve Camera quality?

My Droid Dna takes terrible pictures and I need help.
I don't know what to do. I havent changed any camera settings and I am now starting to think that the camera sucks.

Any examples of these terrible pictures?

Last I saw and experienced the DNA takes pretty darn good photos.

They are grainy and I always focus.
What sort of environment are you taking photos in? I've seen example pictures from users and a few friends of mine and all their pics are accurate in color and clear.

Indoor or outdoor but well lit
Hmm...and all your camera settings are still default huh? Do they appear grainy on your phone or when you transfer them over to your PC or some other device?

Well here's a couple of sample photos from Engadget. If your photos look like these then well I guess that's as good as your camera gets. These shots are pretty impressive to me, but coming from a Galaxy Nexus owner who thinks the camera is great, my opinion may not mean much either: HTC Droid DNA camera samples

Wow my photos look nothing like that.
Is there a free app that will help with camera?
You sure you didn't change any of the settings by accident? As far as I know, those are default settings.

You could try a 3rd party camera app.

Why don't you try to play with the settings then? On my g Nexus up close photos can be made better playing with the settings.
