How to go back to stock 2.1 For Newbi

I have the same problem. How do you boot back to recovery and do the data wipe? Basically, how did you do it?

Pull battery.

reboot with finger on home button WHILE inserting battery.If it does not reboot hold down power key while pressing home button.

Do data wipe.

Do factory wipe.

Big problem

i went back to stock wiped everything now i cant activate my phone it will come on and let me *228 but never gets 3g or 1x i need any help please then it keeps asking me to activate

good luck finding your CDMA code (though I'm not sure how much it matters if you just leave what's already there...) you could probably call VZW TS and ask
