How to do a Mail Merge within Android

I am trying to do a mail merge using Android versions of Google Sheets and Gmail. Everything I have read gives instructions for doing it on a desktop. There is a Mail Merge app in the Play Store, but it uses technology no longer supported by Google. Has anyone figured out how to do a mail merge using only Android? I am investigating using an automation/workflow approach like Power Automation app in the Play Store, but was wondering if someone has already found a successful method. (Definition: a mail merge is a time saving technique of sending many emails that are mostly identical except for some customized information that is inserted in the email, like the person's first name. Usually, the custom info and email addresses are in a spreadsheet, and the mail software uses a draft message with marked custom fields for inserting the custom info.) Thanks for any advice.
