How do I remove preinstalled apps

My Droid razr is rooted and I want to remove some preinstalled apps from my phone. I have root explorer but can't find any folder for the applications to delete. Help?

First, I would recommend renaming them by adding the ".bak" at the end versus deleting... that way, you can also restore them if an OTA comes along you want to take...

The apps are located in the /system/app folder location...

Found the files but can't delete our rename because they are read only. Any other suggestions?

Instead of removing the offending apps, I just freeze them using Titianium Backup or My Back Up Pro.

At the top of the screen, there should be a gray box with r/w in it... tap this and it will change to r/o & you can then rename.

If you're using Root Explorer, you have to "Mount R/W" to modify files but you'd be better off using the advise of SniperDroid and just freeze using TB. If you go messing with or deleting files/Apps that you're not familiar with, you'll be SOL when the next update comes around or worse.
