How do I get my nexus 5 to turn on?

First the damn thing just shut off when I needed it most and then I kept restarting it but it only went to the Google intro or whatever. Any ways or ideas I can do to fix this? Also it won't charge.... plssss help.

Sounds like it may be a battery issue. Have you tried plugging into a PC and allowing it to charge for 4 hours.
