How do I enter "\" on Droid 2?

After failing to establish a link with my office e-mail with corporate sync (probably because our server...soon to be updated...is still running Windows 2000 software), I downloaded Touchdown, at the recommendation of my IT consultant. It is asking me for domain\name.

I cannot figure out how to enter symbols including " \ "from my keyboard.

on the keyboard hit the gear button and then hit alt

Another way is to hold down the / key. Then a "like symbols" menu comes up and select the \ which is the only one for the slashes. This goes for all symbols.
