How can I delete my music and start over

I just set up my new Incredible and didn't realize that when I hooked up to my PC that Itunes would sync automatically. Now I have my music (which I want), but also my husbands and my 2 daughters. About 85% of which I don't want. To go through the list 1 x 1 and delete would be painful.

Is there a way to delete all music and start over? And then, how can I just sync my own playlist and not everyone elses?

thanks in advance for the help!

Laura

I would look on the SD card for a folder labeled music or media (may contain photos so verify). Delete the file and that should remove your all of the music. If you can find either music or media do a search for a song title and see where it is stored then delete that particular file.

I'm not positive on the syncing issue but I would create a separate play list in iTunes and drag and drop the playlist to your phone.

Hope that helps.

if you mount it on your laptop open the music folder and delete it all. they are programs for syncing but i just drag the song files into the music folder and organize it from there. i have the moto droid and you can delete the songs by holding it down for a second then hitting delete.
