Hotmail Exchange settings

At one time, my Junk folder on my SIII was working perfectly, too perfect though. I had accumulated some 10,000+ messages in the junk folder in my Hotmail account. So I went to my Hotmail account online, and emptied the junk folder there, as well as the one in my Outlook. Then I went & cleaned out the junk folder in the phone, which took a day and a half to complete.

Now, my junk folder on my phone will not sync at all. I have been to many forums and tried multiple solutions by tweaking the on/off peak times, push, etc., all have failed.

Can anyone please help me with this issue.

Outlook & my Amazon Kindle all sync perfectly.

What app are you using on the S3? The stock Email app?

The snobby tech nerd in me wants to tell you to just get rid of hotmail altogether.

Yes. I am using the stock app. I don't want to get rid of the Hotmail account as I have had it for over 20 years now.
