Honor just released the Honor 8 to the US a few days ago. The Honor 8 isn't just another mid range Chinese handset. It has a premium all glass and metal design, a 3D fingerprint which is programmable for gestures and app launches, a dual lens camera, and top of the line flagship specs. The biggest selling point to this device is the price. It comes in at just under $400. Honor has just given us another huge reason to love this phone!
Honor announced via Google Plus that starting with the Honor 8 and going forward Honor devices will receive software updates with new features for up to 24 months. Devices will receive an update every 3 months for the first year and then less frequent for the second year. After 24 months the updates will not contain any new features, but will contain security updates. We have seen other companies make big promises in regards to keeping their phones updated so it will be interesting to see how well Honor holds up their end of the bargain.
