home screen switch jittery

Quick question,

are there any alternative home screens for the droid? The default one doesn't seem to switch from screen to screen very smoothly (for example if you look at the HTC phones)... of all the things this phone has its the only thing that really bugs me.

It happens with me. I think when I saw a review on Youtube it said it was normal. Maybe the new OTA update will smooth it out.
