Home Screen Crashes?

Has anyone else had a problem with their home screen application apparently crashing, leaving you unable to use your phone until it is reset? This has appeared to me before, but it wasn't much of a problem until it crashed while I was sleeping and so my alarm that I had set on it was never executed and I missed work. I'm just wondering if this is a common problem that I'm is with the newest iOS rather than the phone itself. Is there a way to prevent this from happening again?


Any help would be appreciated.

I've had mine since early Dec and I've never had it crash or freeze like that. I guess it could be an app you installed, but I would take it back to Verizon and see what they could do for you. Most people I know use their phone as their alarm now, you shouldn't have to worry about that.

i found my fix

I held my power button volume up and down all at same time for 90 seconds then let go, after another 10 it finally restarted.

Home screen issue

This happens to me about twice a month since updating my phone a while back. My phone either turns itself off (while sitting on my dresser untouched) or "crashes/freezes" when apps or widgets are pressed. The phone will not power on afterwards, sometimes it takes 10 minutes of waiting, and sometimes I have to wait a day before the power button will turn it on.

Sorry I do not have a solution other than waiting, but I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone!
