Hide Phone Number

So, on most all of the other phones I've had, there is a way to hide your phone number when calling someone so that it doesn't show up on caller ID... just a feature you can turn on and off via the phone. Wasn't sure if there is a way to do this with the droid, anyone know?

It's not a phone thing, it's actually a service thing. You either have to call Verizon to have the number permanently blocked or call Verizon Customer Service to find out what the SPRECode (e.g. *83 or whatever) is to dial before the number.

To block on a per call basis:

1. Press *67.
2. Dial the number you wish to call (including area code).
3. Press SEND. The words "Private", "Anonymous", or some other indicators will appear on the called party's Caller ID device instead of your wireless number.

Please note that calls to 800 numbers are NOT Caller ID-blocked.
