Help with wifi

It seems ever since Sandy hit my wifi has not been as good. I used to have excellent signal strengh on my home wifi but currently only get fair. I've rebooted my modem and wireless router to no avail.
I posted a screenshot of my Maxx HD.....it looks like a flashing exclamation point in the wifi icon in upper right. Does anyone know what that means? Any tips are welcome. Thanks

You're wifi signal looks strong to me. I don't see the exclamation point tho ...

Did you click on the thumbnail? Its smack dab in the middle of the icon

You mean those 2 little blue arrow things? I don't know what they are, I'm sorry. But if you're signal strength is what it's showing and everything's working. I wouldn't worry about it. Perhaps someone knows what that means.

The UP arrow means you're sending data, the DOWN arrow means you're receiving data. No arrows means you're not sending or receiving.

To be clear....we're talking about the fan shaped wifi icon. You guys are saying that's an arrow and not an exclamation point? I have my glasses on and still see an exclamation point. I guess I need to up my prescription
