help with new phone pls.

Hi every one. Here is my story, yesterday I got out of my car and my beloved droid was in my lap, It fell to the pavement... I picked it up and dusted it off as usual. But then when i tried to turn it on the display was screwed.

Brokenhearted I went to the VZW store. And got talked into getting the commando cause it can take all the abuse I seem to dish out to my phones. Well I really do not like this phone. The biggest complaint I have is the bing and unresponsive touch screen.

What phone in the same price range $199 should I get for some one who loved rooting there droid.

A phone that will be supported by the dev community?

Is my best prospects the X2?

I would go with a Thunderbolt over the X2, unlocked bootloader, 4G etc.

The X2 was laggy and unimpressive when I played with it. Didn't feel like a dual core upgrade over my X.

But your X is rooted? Think maybe thats why the stock X2 was... meh to you?

I found a place that will sell me a og X for $200 and get a $50 mail in rebate. Or a X2 for $200 even.
