Help with battery extender

I've been trying to get what ever I can out of the battery without rooting or using JD. I'm trying the battery extender found in the smart actions. I like the results but it doesn't turn back on the background data.

For example, triggers are when screen is off and not charging. But after I turn screen on, it still won't auto sync. Even after reboot. I had to manually turn it on in the settings.

Am I missing something?

I just tried it manually by pulling to the right all the triggers. If you do that and save it, it becomes a manually activated Smart Action. I then tapped it to turn on Battery Saver (thereby turning off Background Data), and watched as my WIFI Icon went from Blue to Gray. Once I was sure it was completed, I tapped it again to turn it off, and within about 10 seconds, the WIFI Icon went back to Blue.

I am not sure why you are having trouble, but could it be simply that you aren't waiting long enough after it deactivates to reconnect to the Network? ;)

Wasn't that. If the triggers are when the screen is off and not charging, turn off the data and background (turn icons grey). For me, it then goes without saying that when the screen is on, the trigger shouldn't be in effect and therefore should turn back on those that were turned off.... without turning it off manually. Does that make sense (sometimes hard to explain)?

I did set up another rule where when the screen is on, then turn on background data and data, but the delay is annoying and when you turn on the screen and pull your notbar down, it shoots up as the smart actions updates. Annoying.

Still, I hold to the first part, that it should turn back on if the criteria of the triggers aren't met.

You are right as far as I am aware. The Smart Actions are supposed to reverse the state of whatever actions they take when triggers are no longer valid. I'll have to do some experimenting for this and see if I get the same results as you when it triggers itself.
