Help request for Email set-up

I have recently purchased the Droid X through Verizon and would like to be able to use the email function for my work email. I have tried to set it up using both the options in "My Accounts", then "Add Account", then "corp sync" and "Email", however cannot get either to work.

I use Outlook v.2003, and my email is hosted by Network Solutions. I enter my email, set-up & password but nothing... and what is an "Exchange Server"?... Does it apply here?

Any helpful guidance is appreciated.

An Exchange server is your companies email server.
There is a way to use corporate email but they have to set it up at their end before you'd be able to access your company email on your phone.
