Help installing Darkslide ROM

I'm really interested in installing this Darkside Rom but im reading where I need to be running 2.3. Where can I find this 2.3 update so I can run this ROM?

This is a very confusing thing to understand.

Droid X software version 2.3.340 is actually Android software version 2.2

Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Build Number and let us know what it says.

Motorola was rather silly in their build version numbering scheme. All three of their released Droid X versions start with 2.3, your phone has either Motorola build 2.3.15, 2.3.320, or hopefully 2.3.340.

There is also a Motorola Blur 3.4.2 ROM that someone leaked, but I personally can't recommend it.

Under Build Number it says VZW and I cannot click on it or anything.

Under system version or android version? Under android it says 2.2.1 but under system it says 2.3.340.

The only "system" I see under "about phone" is system tutorial. Now under kernel version it is 2.6.32.9
