help...droid and airplane mode

My Droid went into airplanemode on its own and now it will not let me turn it off.

Well. Apparently if you turn WiFi on...and then turn off airplane mode...it goes off. Who knew.

Actually i did...battery pull too. The wifi thing did the trick.
