help black screen on incredible 2

hey guys any info on warranty issues? I bought my son the incred 2 for christmas in nashville at a walmart, sent it by usps with insurance to him in GA, the phone screen has gone black in the past two days and walamrt only issues only a 15 day return and its been just that 15 days, so he is going to send it for the manu warranty and suggestions. Hes 18 and probably knows everything but if I can help him I will:D

That's a bummer. I'm sure it's to late to file a freight claim with the USPS this long after delivery but that's another option to try. Since you said you put freight insurance on it, manufacturer might send a referbished one, that's not totally a bad thing I guess, I just like to put all my own dings and scratches in my new phones! ;)

Take it to Verizon. If you got in within the year, which you said you got it in December, then VZW will fix or replace.
