help between D3 and x2

can anyone tell me which is the better phone? I don't care about the slide out keyboard, but i do want the speed. I also don't think that x2 can get 2.3, only 2.2 but i'm not sure if that's correct.

The only thing imo that the D3 has over the X2 is the keyboard... so if that doesn't matter to you, I would go all touchscreen. Of course, if you want speed, you might want to go 4g...

if you dont care about the slide out keyboard then you should wait for the bionic. it should be released pretty soon in the near future. but if you absolutely can not wait you should look into the x2. that's just my opinion. coming from a very satisfied tbolt owner.

D3 is a better choice than the x2, it has a better processor, camera, and the keyboard is a nice added feature.

It depends what you want.

Bigger screen vs keyboard.
And android 2.2 vs 2.3.

Also, the D3 has a better processor.
Don't forget that there are 4G phones out, even though I am not interested in any so far.

Depends what you consider better. D3 has more memory 16gb vs 8gb on the Droid X2. X2 is larger and has a .3 inch larger screen. X2 has a duel flash but the D3 has a higher resolution video camera.

D3 is suppose to have slightly longer battery life but I have my doubts.

X2 has the advantage of also sharing the same exact form factor as the Droid X so accessories like docs and cases that work for Droid X also work for DX2. D3 will not have as many as it is a brand new phone.

X2 has had some complaints about the screen not being as good as other phones. Not sure how the D3 looks. But the X2 has the best screen that I have seen in direct daylight.

I have an X2 and think it is a great phone but every phone is out of date the moment you buy it.

what is the bionic going to have over other phones. Is it basically a 4g LTE version of the x2? I've read a good bit speculating it may have this or that, but nothing reliable.

It's basically a 4g version of the D3 with a larger screen, no keyboard, and more RAM (dedicated to webtop). They both (D3 and Bionic) will have the OMAP 4430 processor, the x2's processor, is not as good. The both phones have qHD pentile screens and will function the same as the x2 (and thus are very readable in direct sunlight).

Everyone seems to be missing a big advantage of the D3. It has a front-facing camera. The X2 doesn't.

Also I believe the Bionic front camera will be 1.3 or 2.0 MP (closer to what apple uses) compared to the D3's 0.3 MP.

Everything I've read says Bonic will have an nVidia CPU not TI.
