Ok I'm having a brain fart. How do I set Helix as my default home so I don't have to keep choosing every time I hit the home button. I know but for the life of me am drawing a blank.

Next time it asks you which home app you want to use, check off the box that says to use it as your default.

SG6.0, OC'd at 1.1 ghz. Been using this a while now. Helix runs great, no lag, very responsive. Helix2 sent me into a FC'ing looping frenzy. I did not uninstall Helix before trying Helix2 and they both showed on my launcher. Not sure if that was the conflict but I uninstalled Helix2.

Like most good things this app just suddenly showed up. I wonder what next week will bring

Has anyone been able to get Helix 2 to work with Adamz's rom. I'm currently running Bugless Beast and I want to switch to Adamz's rom, but Helix 2 was FC on my.

If it doesn't, is it possible to get the 3d app tray to work with it.

Just for clarification so I don't mess things up...

When you folks say clear off all widgets and app icons, do you mean from the default launcher before you install Helix?

If I install Helix now and it turns out the update will have additional screens will anything get screwed up?

You don't actually need to clear any icons off the default launcher. When you start using HelixLauncher it will still be running, but only until it's automatically closed due to memory pressure.

I installed HelixLauncher on my unrooted Droid (Ver 2.0.1) and loved the thing. I had heard about a possible problem with setting it to the default launcher causing the looping thing so I had not set it as the default. Sometimes it would ask which I wanted for the default and it appears that I accidently selected the stock laucher as the default. Now I cannot get HelixLauncher back. I have tried uninstalling it and redownloading it and searched through all the settings, rebooted and did the battery thing.

Is there anyway to get HelixLauncher back. I had it set perfectly.

This is pretty cool, but I already have 5 screens on DroidMod and hopefully 2.1 will have multiple screens. I just want the ability to double tap and select a screen from there and the locked 4 icons on the bottom. Someone should work on that as an app you add on to your home screen. Then you're not running two launchers either. It would be perfect.

Dont ever accidently choose 1 screen for helix as it will put you in a non recoverable FC loop.

If you do, boot to safe mode and stop the process.

Just downloaded and set up Helix... NICE! I set up 5 screens and have the live wallpaper (Blue Smoke?) running in the background.

Between the 2.1 update and helix it's like having a new phone again:icon_ banana:

Is there a way to set the which number screen is the home screen? I have 4 screens, but I want screen 3 to be my home one, but it defaults 2 to be the home one. This is really the only reason why I'm preferring Launcher+ right now. I just want the best of both worlds!

I'm having the same problem. I can't figure out how to set it as default after accidentally setting my Home launcher as the default.

I've been using this launcher for about a week now. I didn't have have any FCs but then I increased the number of screens to 5 and it has FCed on me twice in the past hour. Maybe it has something to do with changing screen number?
